About Us

About Our Pastor:

The Reverend Pedro Basden is a native of Nassau, Bahamas. He is a vibrant young leader who has dedicated himself to serving the kingdom of God. He firmly believes that when preparation meets opportunity great things happens. His belief is reflected in his educational accomplishments. He holds the Bachelor of Arts degree from American Baptist College, 1989, Master of Divinity degree from the Interdenominational Theological Center, 1999 and a Doctor of Ministry degree from the Interdenominational Theological Center, 2004.

Pastor Basden is the former pastor of the Mt. Gilead A.M.E. Church, Columbus, GA, Mt. Commodore A.M.E. Church, Thomasville, GA. Currently, he is the pastor of Quinn Chapel A.M.E. Church, Louisville, KY.

He is married to the former Ms. Berly Brown and they have one child, Jewel.

About Our Church:

Quinn Chapel African Episcopal Church is located on 1901 W. Muhammad Ali blvd. Quinn Chapel is also rich in history. It was the venue of the first school for people of African descent was established. It was the gathering place for hte civil rights effort that brought change in the city of Louisville, Kentucky. Quinn Chapel was the rally place for the first boycott of the Trolley cars in Louisville which led to the de-segregation of the Trolley.

Quinn Chapel is vibrant and growing church nestled in the urban setting. Our setting presents an ideal opportunity to serve the community. Most importantly, we are growing spiritually and seeking every opportunity to be empowered by the Holy Spirit for effective service.

Currently, we are serving under our vision statement: "A Transformed Church, Transforming the World for God's Tomorrow".
