Tithing
What Is The Tithe?
The tithe as it is called is a tenth or 10% of your income (gross). The tithe was not born out of the Old Testament law but rather came before the law. Abraham—while returning from a successful conquest—offered to the priest Melchizedek a portion—10% - of his spoils from war. He offered this gift from his heart and not from mandated law. Giving is about worship and should not come from coercion or pressure to do what others are doing. Consequently we bring the Lord such a small portion in comparison with His benefits to us.
For our guests, please note that we hope that you will contribute to the financial life of our church. While we appreciate your sharing, we want you to know the power behind the Biblical principles of giving. Quarterly we share specific teachings about giving and invite you to share with us in those studies. If you would like to share with us, please know that we appreciate it very much and also know that surely the Lord will "open the windows of heaven" (when you tithe) and "pour you out a blessing" (when you give an offering). Remember, the tithe is what you owe—the offering is what you
sow.

What It Takes To Be A Leader In This Church:
- You must be BORN AGAIN! Only those who are born of the Spirit can enter the Kingdom of God and hence do the work of the King!
- Leaders must participate in at least two (2) Spiritual Growth Opportunities per week! If you cannot sit to feed, you cannot stand to lead! To whom much is given—much is required!
- Leaders must be tithers! A tithe is 10% of your increase (gross income). Try God and see if He will not open the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing.
